SynbioTech has once again made its mark on the international invention stage. At the highly competitive 2025 Seoul International Invention Fair (SIIF), the company earned 2 Gold and 3 Silver Prizes for five probiotic innovations, once again demonstrating the strength of Taiwan’s biotechnology R&D to the world. The award-winning inventions span a diverse range of health applications:

  • Gold–LDL557: an innovative heat-killed postbiotic that works through the gut-joint axis to help ease cartilage loss, joint swelling, and inflammation, supporting everyday mobility
  • Gold–FS4722: a Lactiplantibacillus plantarum strain isolated from traditional fermented vegetables that supports uric acid balance through the gut-liver-kidney axis
  • Silver–SynForU® ReMain: a probiotic adjunct approach centered on the gut-kidney axis to support kidney health management
  • Silver–ABKefir®: 7 strains with symbiotic fermentation that delivers both live cultures and postbiotic metabolites to help maintain digestive function
  • Silver–BY2: a Lacticaseibacillus paracasei functional probiotic that helps regulate cholesterol

On the morning of June 18, our Chief Operating Officer, Sean Yang, led the marketing and R&D teams to the Presidential Office, where, together with the full delegation of award winners from the Taiwan Invention Association, we were received and encouraged in person by Vice President Hsiao Bi-khim. It is an honor in which all of our colleagues take great pride.

In her remarks, Vice President Hsiao described the winners as “the pride of Taiwan” and thanked each inventor for shining on the international stage. She noted that amid an environment shaped by geopolitics, technological competition, and the rapid rise of AI, inventors are the true problem solvers, embodying the resilience society needs most through repeated experimentation and relentless improvement. Her words resonate deeply with the years of dedication shown by our R&D team.

For more than two decades, SynbioTech has been driven by a single mission, to Change Lives with Probiotics. Guided by a commitment to science and innovation, we work to translate forward-looking research into products that protect public health. Earning international recognition for five inventions at once is a meaningful affirmation of our R&D team’s long-standing efforts. Looking ahead, we will continue to advance its research capabilities and deepen international collaboration, changing more lives with probiotics and sharing the strength of Taiwan’s biotechnology with all of you.
