What symbiotic fermentation means

Most probiotic products grow each strain separately and blend the dried powders at the end. Symbiotic fermentation is different. The strains are cultured together, so they feed on one another's metabolites and behave as a community, just as they do in traditional kefir. The result is not a mixture of strains but a matured symbiotic system.


How SYNTEK™ works

During SYNTEK™ fermentation, AB-Kefir's strains exchange nutrients and signals. This metabolic cross-feeding does two things at once. It produces a broad pool of postbiotic metabolites, including organic acids, bioactive peptides, exopolysaccharides, B-group vitamins, folic acid, and amino acids, and it conditions the strains for life in the gut. Stronger, steadier strains

Because the strains mature together, SYNTEK™ makes them more robust. Compared with conventional fermentation, AB-Kefir shows higher survival and viability through shelf life and better tolerance to stomach acid and bile, so more live cells and active metabolites reach the gut where they are needed.


The "AB" design: Five plus Two

SYNTEK™ ferments five core strains together. Two further probiotics, Lactobacillus acidophilus and Bifidobacterium longum, are then added to complete the formula and give AB-Kefir its "A" and "B". The result pairs the depth of symbiotic fermentation with two of the most widely studied and used probiotic species.
