About AB-Kefir

AB-Kefir, marketed under the ABKEFIR™ brand, is a patented, symbiotic-fermented probiotic and postbiotic formula developed by SynbioTech for everyday digestive health. It reimagines kefir, one of the world's oldest fermented foods, as a stable, standardized, and clinically studied ingredient for modern gut-health products.
A heritage of longevity
For centuries, kefir has been part of daily life in the Caucasus mountains, a region long associated with remarkable longevity. In 1908, the Nobel laureate Élie Metchnikoff connected the fermented foods of the region to the long, healthy lives of the people who ate them, helping to lay the foundation of modern probiotic science. AB-Kefir carries that heritage forward, capturing the natural symbiosis of kefir and translating it into a functional ingredient for today's supplement brands.
More than a probiotic blend
Most probiotic products blend strains that were grown separately. AB-Kefir is made differently. Its strains are cultured together in a single symbiotic fermentation using SynbioTech's proprietary SYNTEK™ technology, so they interact the way they naturally do in traditional kefir. This does two things at once. It generates a rich pool of postbiotic metabolites, such as organic acids, bioactive peptides, polysaccharides, B-group vitamins, folic acid, and amino acids. It also strengthens the strains themselves, improving their stability and their tolerance to stomach acid and bile.
The formula: five plus two
AB-Kefir combines seven probiotic strains. Five are co-cultured together in the symbiotic fermentation, and two more, Lactobacillus acidophilus and Bifidobacterium longum, are then added to complete the formula. These two give AB-Kefir the "A" and the "B" in its name.
