rss

Synbio Tech Inc. (TWSE: 1295) proudly announces that its flagship probiotic strain, Lactiplantibacillus plantarum TWK10®, has been granted a new U.S. patent (U.S. Patent No. 12,274,719 B2) titled “Method for Improving Walking Capacity of Elderly Subjects.” This milestone reinforces TWK10®’s scientific potential in nutritional applications targeting the aging population.

According to the patent documentation, the TWK10® strain underwent an 18-week human observation study supported by animal model analysis. The study explored changes in walking performance, repeated sit-to-stand tests, grip strength, and muscle morphology under controlled supplementation. The full dataset is published within the patent to support future scientific reference and development.

This newly granted patent marks a strategic expansion of TWK10®’s protection portfolio beyond sports performance into healthy aging. “Securing this U.S. patent further validates our commitment to research-driven innovation across diverse populations,” said general manager, Mr. Chuan-Hsien Yang. “We will continue to align with global regulatory frameworks and collaborate with industry partners to develop science-backed solutions that meet evolving market needs.”

To date, TWK10® has achieved an impressive record: 16 patents granted, 8 human clinical trials, 27 scientific publications, and 13 international awards. Synbio Tech remains committed to its core R&D principles of Safety × Functionality × Stability, driving forward probiotic innovation for active living, healthy aging, and all-stage nutrition worldwide.
